“You’re not versatile!”. Joe Dart content.

Not my kind of bass, but he sure does have a point about players' versatility against that of the instrument.

I don't know who the drummer is  - but that video should be shown to every other drummer around. Awesome.

Really should check out some Vulfpeck as I've never really heard them. 😀

The OCD in me cannot get past the horizontal grain in the body vs the vertical grain on the headstock 😀

You're not British, that must be the reason, or you are the only one with good taste. 😁

I like the idea of a passive Stingray, but the absence of the tone knob and the oversized volume knob just turns this into a novelty item IMO. I'm sure that the 50 will sell, though.

More people should go control-less. Not a knob to be seen on my Alpher!

It is one dimensional though. It all sounded the same to me :) Sure play with different techniques but the sound was pretty much ditto. I love Joe Darts playing and I've been listening to him since his playing on 'The Olllam' album 7 or so years ago.

Why is it nailed to a mic stand and not on a strap ?

The clip looks like it was recorded at the same time as the Fearless Flyers videos with Cory Wong and Mark Lettieri. They all use those stands as bit of a gimmick.

Certainly when Jack Stratton was demonstrating its versatility, I could barely tell the difference (a bit more attack with the pick, but not much more than that). Change out that knob for something more discreet (a Jazz bass knob perhaps) and it'd look much better IMO.
