ashsagar
This looks like fun although a little out of my price bracket http://www.bassologyatsea.com/greek-isles-2019
Grahambythesea
I’ve sailed on Celebrity Cruises ships, the sister ones not Eqinox, and they are great! Food is fantastic as is the entertainment. Don’t know how the bass tutoring would work out but it looks really interesting.
ribbetingfrog
I’m worried this is a ruse by guitarists to gather bass players on to a ship then torpedo it. 1
NikNik
I'll pass, thanks. Anyone on here do one of those band cruises like Cruise to the Edge? I just couldn't imagine myself signing up for something like that.
chris_b
At those prices you could buy an awful lot of lessons. The cheapest tick would get you over 100 face to face lessons or 14 years on Scotts lessons.
Grahambythesea
Looking at the prices and knowing what I’ve paid for similar cruises without bass tuition, I reckon they are about $1500 extra. Plus the hassle of flying to Venice with a bass which is too large for an overhead locker in the cabin, so it will be in the hold. And many of us may remember what happened to Dave Carroll’s Taylor guitar flying on Delta and their reluctance to do anything about it! if you don’t know see United breaks guitars on YouTube. KevB
If I had the money and the bands on were ones I liked I'd definitely do Cruise to the Edge, it's not like the OP as it is not aimed at people wanting lessons. I'm not sure I could really concentrate on bass lessons whilst visiting nice locations, I'd be straight in holiday mode and sack the playing sessions off so wouldnt get my money's worth. Barking Spiders
I've a narrowboat moored near Stroud and can offer a much better budget deal. A two hour round trip via Sharpness and you can have a go on my Cort, plus a can of wifebeater and a Breville toastie. £20 all in!
