Roger2611 Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 I very much doubt it is a genuine Fender, he has added a made in Indonesia claim which would, at best, make it a Squier bass, the unfinished truss rod access on the headstock is not something Fender have traditionally done, the only thing that makes me question that is our guitarist has a special edition Telecaster with a red headstock and an unfinished hole and that is definitely a pucker Fender. edstraker123 Posted March 8, 2019 Author Posted March 8, 2019 I asked for a serial number but no reply as yet Quote
Bassassin Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 Loving the attention to detail, like being too lazy to remove the ferrules when you rattlecan the headstock! Plus, a refin's always improved by some twonk taking a belt sander to it, right? Quote
vinorange Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 I asked for a serial number on this but the seller came back and said it’s an Indonesian made bass. Quote
Bassassin Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Strongly suspect it's a Squier VMJ with a new scratchplate & a set of Strat knobs, as well as the Halfords refin. Quote
Dan Dare Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Oh look. Listing's ended. Quelle surprise... Quote
Bassassin Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Sold for £240, it seems. So £150 used Squier VMJ + £10 can of B&Q nursery paint = £80 profit. Sound. Quote
