Owen
I have a cab I love. It is a Bergantino IP310 and try as I might, nothing else has come close. However, it weighs the same as a small planet. I have been wondering about getting another cab build with the same internal volume but a 3x10 + Horn column rather than the squat box it is now. 1. As long as internal volumes and port sizes are the same it should be much of a muchness? 2. Could anyone recommend anyone to do the actual build? TIA
BassBunny
You could try Mike Walsh of Zoot Bass fame. He has access to some unbelievable "helium filled" ply that is really lightweight. Not sure he would be up for it as he is concentrating on bass builds at the moment and the cab building side of the business has been wound down. That said, if you don't ask. Happy Jack
Have a word with Guy Trigg at Tricky Audio: [email protected] They're the fellas who built both my Crazy 8 and my Crazy 88, they definitely know what they're doing.
Owen
I had a chat with Guy at the DB bash before last and he was not too excited at the thought. But that was a few years ago.
geoham
Look up Tom Mulrainey at Hofffnine cabs, seems well regarded.
