My GF bought this for me as a present to encourage me to pick up a bass again after a long time out and selling all my gear a few years before. A move she is probably regretting now Has a J-East preamp fitted and has DR Black Beauties which have about 5 minutes playing time since I strung them. Truss rod cover missing. Specs that I can find online are: Neck-thru body construction Multi-laminate mahogany and maple neck Mahogany body Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlay Grover bass tuners Custom JJ pickups Again..if you've seen the other listings in this clearout...Active basses are a bit lost on me. cascanicoff Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 I used to have the 5 string version of this one (with the stock electronics). It was a more than nice bass for the price. The new preamp can only make it even nicer, because the main flaw on my bass was precisely the lack of a bit of crunch in the tone, which the preamp will surely supply. Glwts
