troubadour Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 This one’s keeping me awake . . . https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-4-String-Precision-Type-Electric-bass-Guitar-Angled-Pointy-Headstock/372625779265?hash=item56c23a2a41:g:nqAAAOSwUPlciBCy . . . my best guess is an Accu Bass with some serious sandpaper applied, particularly to the top horn. hooky_lowdown Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 Yup, definitely looks like an accu bass. Difficult to tell on my phone, but looks like a nasty split around the top of the neck, maybe the headstock was cut off at some point. Quote
Bassassin Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 Generic cheapo late 80s/early 90s MIK plywood P copy with ugly headstock, not made any less ugly by someone having clumsily chopped bits off it. The Accu-Bass was a generic pointy-headed budget P copy, but I'm not convinced this was one - from what I know & what you can tell from the pics (ie not much!), tuners are wrong, trc is wrong & I'm not 100% about the bridge. MIK & probably Cort are about as precise as I could be. Quote
