Esh, help needed. Low volume on one string.

Hi,

Got a Esh 5 string various, and while I'm still getting to grips with it, one setting has a really low out put on the B string(may be the piezo setting).

Any ideas ?

Is the pickup angled wrong?

 

os the string old and dead?

 

piezo lead fallen off the saddle?

Sounds like a dodgy piezo element on the B. I'd contact Esh for a replacement http://esh-bass.com/contact/

There should be trimpots per piezo saddle in the electronics cavity. If the piezo's are still good, it might be the volume setting. The piezo setting is the one with the rotary switch turned towards the bridge.

Thanks everyone. Lefty, you were right matey, for some reason someone cranked the trim pot on the B down to near enough nothing.

Just in case, in the cavity each string has its own volume pot for the piezo.

Glad that it's sorted! 

My Esh Stinger I took some tweaking too when I got it - the setting with piezo and magnetics combined had too much piezo to my taste.
