Just having a nosy now Rob - congratulations, it’s an awesome archive. And thank you so much for sharing, it is greatly appreciated. It’s a great motivator.

Right. I have now uploaded most of the stuff from the archive. Still have to upload the seven pieces mentioned above and one or two of the old ones (the Coltrane Love Supreme charts for one) but we are pretty much there. I won't post the charts on here in future, just links to the website. Remember, it's all free and I am just putting up stuff I like rather than anything with a commercial bent. You won't see any slapping or tapping on there as I can't be bothered with it 😉

That was quick. One of my fav albums. Preferred that era Camel. Bass playing is very under-stated and he sings. .Looking forward to seeing this one.

Minor note @Bilbo. The photo you used is Richard Sinclair and description is Doug Ferguson for Lunar Sea from Moonmadness. Had a relisten  on youtube VID for A Live Record version and Pete Bardens is playing a bass run on keys with left hand while Richard Sinclair playing over the top.

How the heck i managed i have no idea 

I've always played both parts when trying to play that bass part. I didn't realise until now it was 2 separate parts.

Great to see the bass part written out fro me now and i think i've been doing a very close version of the actual bass part (with frills )

\New bass transcription on the Bilbo's Bass Bites webiste. 'And So To F' from the 1979 Brand X album 'Product'. A Phil Collins composition (he used to do it on his own tours) it'smain riff is in syncopated 9:8 which is weird on paper but, once you get it under your fingers, it is not too difficult. John Patitucci's double bass part for the track 'Cool Weasel Boogie' from the first Chick Corea Elektric Band album. A simple 20 bar chorus that repeats with minimal variation throughout. It's a great tune to play along to if you are just starting out on the reading thing. Relatively simple; once you have the first four bars down, you are pretty much there. Listen to the Carlos Rios guitar solo; magic.

Today's little diamond is a full transcription of the second version of Jeff Berlin's 'Joe Frazier', entitled, imaginatively, 'Joe Frazier Part II'. Some great playing here; (bar 73) - triplet sixteenths all over the place, (bar 151-2) 'what the f*** happened then' and a great little 'shout' chorus that crosses bars very inventively. Interesting little transcription today. A tune called 'Akasha' from the Jonas Hellborg CD, 'The Works'. 0.54 long, its a beautiful little thing that pretty much all of us will be able to play. Link to the website.
