leroydiamond
Listened to this tonight. It has been a while, but what an album. Terrific musicianship, song writing and superb vocal performance. It is my desert island disc without question. This has got to be one of the best debut albums of all time IMO. . Listening to this tonight on vinyl using a decent Turntable. Shockingly good and very moving. Sad that such a magical performer was taken so young. NancyJohnson
To this day I can't work out why I didn't connect with this album. I've listened to it several times but for me it's just missing the crucial something that would call me back for repeat listens. On the death front, I do wonder how things would have panned out had he not gone swimming that night.

And its a beautifully produced album as well IMO. I've always thought that Jeff Buckley had such an absolutely innate musical talent, he could have really been one of the 'rock & roll greats' (for want of a better phrase) had he lived longer and made more records. Sad that we never got a chance to find that out..
leroydiamond
Listening to it takes me on an emotional roller coaster, so much so that I have to choose the right time to play it. There have been times when I have to take it off the turntable 5 minutes in. There is no other album that resonates with me at such a deep emotional level. Indeed its very well produced and a sonic masterpiece IMO. It therefore demands to be played on a decent system. The standard earbud set up will not cut the mustard in latching on to all that this album has to offer.
