NBD 1980's Hungarian Hybrid - info please

Hi all

 

I went to play a bass that was advertised locally to me. As soon as I played it I was instantly in love. A really open sweet cello like tone under the bow, lovely thumpy pizz sound and excellent playability though the G string is really low so will look into getting a new bridge later this year. I'm going to be removing the MAG pickup and strings and replacing with gut-a-like swingmasters and my realist pickup. 

 

The guy I purchased it from says that he bought it from an instrument shop 5 years ago somewhere in Lincolnshire. He said the dealer told him it was dated from the 1980's.

 

Any info that you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.
