CameronJ Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 It seems to have disappeared off the website? Quote
Dan Dare Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 ABB's prices are often, erm, on the amusing side. Tbf, he has a business to run and a living to make. I suspect that it you walked in with readies, the prices would turn out to be negotiable. Quote

Chewie Posted April 10, 2019 Author Posted April 10, 2019 Perhaps Stanley Clarke urinated on it or something!!!!! Quote
Doctor J Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 30 years have passed, add 40% to the price. Quote
shoulderpet Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Sorry, im not up to speed on Fenders, what am I missing here? Is this an MIM or something? Quote
Hobbayne Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Just now, shoulderpet said: Sorry, im not up to speed on Fenders, what am I missing here? Is this an MIM or something? No its just a very, very expensive American Vintage re-issue 1962 Jazz Bass from 1988. 👍 Quote
dannybuoy Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 It's hard to put a price on something that doesn't come up for sale very often, what would you say it's worth? American Vintage models from the last 10 years or so can go for £1200ish. This one is in the same bracket but 20 years older, so semi-vintage, rarer and seemingly mint condition. Quote
Beedster Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Price seems reasonable to me, I've seen basses from the same series sell for more, and you will probably not notice a whole lot of difference between that and a Pre-CBS Jazz in real (player/tone) terms. It will however be very different to many Jazzes from the '70's that sell for a whole lot more 1 Quote
gareth Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 They are exceptionally good basses and get better the older they are are. He sells fullerton avris for £2500ish. This one is not fullerton but it may have some early components like the pots. Quote
