Beedster
I've just found out that flatwound strings do not like string-through bridges (check post below on this forum for pics), and my Telebass really needs flatwounds. Anyone know where I can get a bridge that will definitely fit a Tele but is top-loading. Will a US deluxe bridge do the job (although I'm not sure they allow top-loading either), or even a Badass III? I really don't want to drill any more holes into this bass! Rickster
You should be ok with an American Deluxe Bass Bridge, as it is a combined bridge that allows you to strings through the body as well as the bridge. I think it can also be used as a replacement for the Tele bridge. Beedster
Cheers Rickster, looks like it will do the trick, although how Fender have the cheek to charge £30...?
bigjohn
I have an american deluxe bridge plate minus saddles somewhere. If you don't need the saddles I could dig it out and let you have it cheaper than £30! John
deaver
I'm going to be replacing the Hipshot Vintage bridge on my Precision. Can be seen on the last photo here MIJ Precision. Let me know if that's the sort of thing your after.
