For years I used Reason then Logic as my DAW so haven't neded drum machine/sequencer VSTs, I recently started using Reaper though so I've got to get into them - any particular recommendations for something that integrates well with Reaper?

The ones I see mentioned a lot are EZ Drummer and Addictive Drums, both about £120 (which is about 4x what I was expecting to spend!).

Steve Slate did let you have a couple of kits for nowt. He emails you alot, but that is cheap at the price.

This is also good for the price (free).  Has some good drums & other instruments too...

If you're willing to spend £59, then Polyplex is a fantastic drum machine that'll do both Acoustic & electronic stuff....

Guys Hornet Plugins has an offer seeling all their plugins at half the price.

My recommendations are:

- Vu meter =  This one generates automatic gain staging, believe me when you have a project wtih more than 20 tracks gain staging can be a torture and this is a God send.

- Total EQ = This one rivals FabFilter's EQ.

- Hornet Tape =  Great tape plugin with grouping option, 3 tape machines each with 2 tape types.

- Hornet Analogue Stage =  This is a console emulation and it does it very well, comes with grouping option

A freebie from Native Instruments. For both the free and full version of Kontakt.

 EDIT:

Just downloaded and had a whiz through...it's very good indeed with quite a selection of sounds.

👍

Yup, I use EZD2 on a practically daily basis. Nearly all of my gear reviews with drums on use EZD2! It's brilliant.

Yeah, you're not wrong! I've got the 4000 and the Focusrite along with Scheps Omni. Check out UniChannel from United Plugins. https://unitedplugins.com/UniChannel/ I LOVE this on drums and bass! They're doing a Black Friday deal - 50% on plugins or 78% off everything!
