Audio Plugin deals is offering ReAmp studio at $25.  Seems to be a lot of gear for that price although everything I've seen and heard seems to be very metal oriented.

A couple of free Percussion libraries in the Trailer style. Both for Kontakt (the free player and the full version). A license is provided.

They are cut down versions but you do get quite a bit of material.

Very bombastic and Epic sounding (IMO).

1) Ferrum - Percussion.

Ferrum - Modern Trailer Percussion (keep-forest.com)

2) Evolution; Devastator Warzone. mOre geared towards sound design. Pulses, Risers, Basses Small Percussion Etc.

 Evolution: Devastator Warzone (keep-forest.com)

3) A few other freebies they have for download.

Free (keep-forest.com)

Might I suggest the Analogue Obsession stuff?

https://www.patreon.com/analogobsession

All freely downloadable.

Some really nice compressors and eqs, channel strips, buss compressors and saturation type stuff.

Gets a lot of use by me...

I've been a patreon for the last 2 years. I used them in all my projects and they sound really good. Tunca (the developer) keeps improving the plugins constantly and adding new stuff every month.

By any chance has anyone found a good Roland Space Echo (RE 201) VST? The cheapest I've found with good reviews is £58, https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/2-Effects/49-Echo/3252-Outer-Space-

It's mostly for dub production rather than Bass playing, although could be useful as a pedal too: can get a 2nd hand Boss RE-20 pedal for £150 so am tempted with that (I particularly like the 'twist' function on that pedal which does increased repeat rate and intensity - not something available on pedals like the NUX tape core, and can't get the Helix Stomp to replicate it). ... thought I was done buying pedals, but it's an investment right?!

Nice one. I don't have Reaktor and all the ones on the video seem decent and fairly similar to each other, generally €69 -99. It's in the price range where I'm quite temped to get the hardware though....a bit more expensive but more potential to use live and more resale value if/when I move onto the next thing!

Maybe not the right place for this, but the full version of Kontakt can be had at the minute for £112 via a crossgrade from a qualifying free Kontakt Player library...

From Native Instruments. If you already have Native Access, Kontakt Player and a qualifying library, log into the NI website, find Kontakt, hit buy and select crossgrade. There's 50% off.

Yeah it doesn't know anything about you if you're not logged in - if you are it knows what libraries you have (what ones are registered through NI Access) and whether you qualify.

If, by 'hardware', you mean the 'real' Roland tape echo, the most recent one I've seen offered, second-hand, was priced at £1800. I'm not saying it would have sold at that, but they ain't cheap, now (were they ever..?). Mine is in need of revision; a kit is available (from Australia...) at 100€ or so. I'm tempted, once I get a bit of spare cash, as I really should keep it in good working order. B|

Nice! Ideally I'd like the real one but I was only ever considering a far cheaper pedal-form copy:  the Boss RE-20 (about £200 new, or £150 second hand on Reverb).

I've just downloaded two really VTS plugins

The Ignite bass amp

https://www.kvraudio.com/product/shb-1-by-ignite-amps

BOD Sansamp clone

https://www.tseaudio.com/software/tseBOD

The Ignite amp is very metal oriented. Ideal if you want dirt and that clanky metal tone.

The BOD is a pretty decent overdrive preamp which seems to work nicely with the Ignite amp. According to one review it's better than a real Sansamp, I cannot confirm.
