NBD Yamaha Attitude Special

Well.

Long story short. This arrived with me yesterday.

I like the way this looks and feels. I love the way it sounds in a band setting (was at rehearsal last night).

The purchase wasn’t a pleasant experience, the dealer is someone I’d never use again.

I didn’t pay what he was asking for originally, nor did I accept the bass for the price we’d agreed based upon images he’d sent me.

Apart from him. The bass for the price, I’m pleased with.

If I hadn’t have enjoyed rehearsal so much last night, I might’ve been less polite about the dealer.

I love these bases and would like to try one out some day - but they're not all that common.

How do you find the neck? I read that Sheehan likes thick necks? I like skinny necks which has put me off getting one.

Sheehan’s original bass was a 68 tele neck which was like a baseball bat. The full fat attitudes have a big neck like the 68.

This one has a slightly slimmer neck. Thinner like a small P bass (Nate Mendel).

My brother has an Attitide Ltd II that is just incredible. One of the most awesome rock and funk basses I've ever played. These basses all kick donkey.

I had one, a fantastic bass for the money and I loved the woofer pickup!

I used to have one of these too! Really liked it, still got the original pickups as I replaced them with Dimarzios. Ultimately I couldn't get on with the look.
