. . . is it really a Highway One though - that logo, maple neck, string through body?

It's a cheap & nasty copy with a fake sticker, wherever it was made. Maple neck with a separate glued-on fretboard?

No way is it a highway one and not even a real Fender. its probably fairly safe to assume that the signatures are fake also.

Could be a 'cap' if no skunk-stripe. But what's that white stuff at the start of the neck itself??

Screws at the front of the bridge as well a classic giveaway of a cheap nasty copy! 

Loving the shockingly bad truss rod access cut out on the pick guard, it looks like it was done with a kitchen knife and a blunt one at that!

Definitely a cheap nasty knock off!
