I'd say it was owned by a bass player with a penchant for Japanese bikes.
In the auction Q&A there's a Norwegian guy who seems to know a fair bit a bout it - seems to think it's German.

went back and took at look at that comment - very interesting indeed more so the 'warwick factory' still think its an old kay though!
