What's going on  with the bridge and are 4 pickups standard?

Totally normal for that model, bridge weighed about the same as the rest of the bass

Too lazy to check up in my Fender book before posting I then looked it up and as you say , standard Elite and as the seller describes, missing the fine tuners on the Schaller bridge. Even has the adjustable neck pitch hole in the neck plate. Not sure if it is walnut ( looks a bit light) but those must have had some heft!

It weighs 5.2kgs I just got a message from the seller - ouch!

I had a walnut one. It was gorgeous, but every time I picked it up my spine compressed half-an-inch.

These don't come up often.  Anyone got an idea if the active circuit on these was anything like the later Precision Special?

He's still got the tuners. Rubbish or not, they'd be valubale for resale.

He says they are 'stripped' so good for authenticity but no good to use!

They were 'of their time', these things. I can see how those threads would get stripped.
