Nicko
I'm playing a dep gig on Friday - first full gig for over a year. Just made some lunch and sliced my index finger open on a tin can. I've managed to stop the bleeding but I'm expecting blood on my scratchplate at the gigđ
bassfan
I did a similar thing in January. Merrily chopping away at an onion, distracted by my phone, when I realised that the knife was red.... taken a large chunk from my forefinger of my left hand at the join where it bends at the top, the first time Iâve ever cut myself!  2 days before a big private party..... it bled for 24 hours... it bled during the gig, took ages to heal! Take plenty of plasters and a cloth. Itâll smart a bit but youâll be fine when you are playingđ Edited April 24, 2019 by bassfan

Should be usable by Friday. Fingers er, crossed? No stitches, but took a while to stop. Spray plaster didn't help much. Its my right hand so I suspect I'll open up the wound the moment I pluck a string as I do tend to go quite hard. Will be trying to use a pick as much as I can. lurksalot
I wash a wound in a salt solution it cleans it and for some reason it does heal a lot quicker

LukeFRC
Electrical tape works too. Used to work in catering and my skin used to react to anti bac stuff, dry out and split. Electrical tape keeps the cut together, feels and flexes enough to sound the same, just avoid folds
Rich
Yup, another vote here for superglue or, as I call it, 'instant fingertips'
