Up for sale is this rather clever 75 watt, 2 x 5", Ashdown B-Social desk top practice amp. It's like new and is a packed full of features.

The cleverest feature is that you can hook up your ipad or iPhone through the apptek port and use amp simulation apps like bias fx, jam up, amplitude or ampkit to customse your sound (that includes bass or lead guitar simulation).

You can have 2 instruments plugged in (so you can have 2 people rehearsing through it) and it has an audio in so you can plug your ipod in too. That's 2 guitars, one ipad and an ipod. Guitar input can also work wirelessly via the wireless dongle which plugs straight into your instrument. Music can be streamed via your phone and connected via Bluetooth instead of plugging it in. The connectivity options are really good.

It also has recording capability as there is a USB port and it's compatible with PC or Mac.

Anyway, it's like new as I've hardly used it (maybe it has too much for a simple soul lile me). I have the original box so it can be safely shipped too.

Jazz bass and ipad not included in sale!

Here's what Ashdown say;

Straight out of the box, B-Social delivers signature Ashdown bass tone via a powerful 75W stereo amplifier and two custom dual concentric 5” drivers, specifically designed to deliver punchy low-end in the most compact enclosure. Unlocking further tonal possibilities, the App-Tek socket allows players to access the ever-growing range of amp sim and effects apps available on Smartphones and devices, including Ashdown’s very own ABM Pre App.

Wireless
Allowing the bassist to roam at home, B-Social features wireless audio connectivity and a transmitter that lets the bass connect wirelessly to the amp for cable free jamming.

Wireless Bluetooth audio connectivity also enables audio streaming from any compatible music player. Adding a new social dimension to the amp, the B-Social includes a second input so the bassist can play along with another bass player or guitarist - electric or acoustic.

“It’s a simple feature - and obvious - but so often over looked by amp companies,” says Mark Gooday. “Being able to plug into a single amp with a friend or band mate makes B-Social a great tool for collaborative writing and recording.”

Recording
Recording itself is made simple via the built-in USB audio interface, compatible with all major DAWs on both PC and Mac platforms. The unit features a speaker mute switch for headphone monitoring.

Connectivity
Rounding out the feature set is a Line In, Line Out and a Headphone Out for silent practice.
