lou24d53
Is there any major difference, pros or cons between using a neck plate to using individual recessed collar fixings? I'm about to start a new-build and I personally prefer the look of the separate collars, but just wondering if I'm giving myself unnecessary problems in doing so? itu
I like the recessed collars. My '91 Modulus Graphite Quantum has those. Can't see any issues with those. They feel and look better than those plates.
Manton Customs
I like the ferrules too, they are a bit more work as you have to plot them out and recess them, but it’s not at all difficult. The disadvantage of a neck plate is they need to have a square area at the heel, which to me can look a bit blocky and unrefined. Whereas with the ferrules you can have any shape you like within reason.
lou24d53
Wouldn't be a problem on my build as I'm not that talented that I'm actually 'making' the body...😂...I'm just going to customise a Guitar Build one to suit my needs.
