Just plug in and you are ready to go without any mucking about with switches and knobs etc. 👍

Frank Blank
I don’t know why but just this last week of two I’ve been wondering how a Fender P would feel to play, never liked the look of them, always preferred a jazz or even an Aerodyne. I’m a five minute walk from PMT, it’s lunch break...

fretmeister
I got a P bass about 6 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago I bought another one. I was looking for a good Duck Dunn sound. Didn't like them at all with rounds - even for rock / metal. Put on some flats and took it to my big band rehearsal... There it was - that great old Stax / Motown sort of tone. The sort of thing I have hated for decades. But there's no doubt for the music I gig now, it is perfect. I'm still disgusted with myself though. (PS - the Greasebucket circuit is shite. Doesn't get as thumpy as a trad tone control set up. So they will be getting modded).
6feet7
My problem is that I've just bought a 1989 Fender Japan HM Bass V (HM stands for Heavy Metal) - sort of a 5 string super Jazz with 3 Jazz pickups and slightly Strat shaped - so even though I love this Jazz I might be selling it soon as it looks so staid and boring next to my bright green AV basses PJV and the Fender HM bass V (which has been stripped but will be repainted Ferrari red). Ignore that - It was coming from the USA and the CITES laws are stopping it being posted Edited May 22, 2019 by 6feet7
