burno70
My friends Timefactor is on the fritz. Can anyone recommend a reputable repairer in the Merseyside/Manchester area?
burno70
Anyone? I told my guitarist friend that the good folk of BC would help us out - don't let me down!
itu
If Eventide has a customer service, they should be the one to contact. If they are good, as their products are, they will repair the unit, update it and so on. https://www.eventideaudio.com/contact-us If they are unwilling to help your friend, contact the seller. AJ567
Martin Owen of Owen Electronics. He's my go-to guy for pedal issues and happens to be based in Manchester 👍
burno70
Thanks Itu but Eventide are not cheap, and for what appears to be a dry solder joint in the PSU input area. AJ: yeah, I've used Martin Owen before - he's good. Wasn't sure if he was still in business as it was quite some time ago. I think I'll pass that recommendation onto my buddy. Thanks. itu
OK, if it is just a power input, that can be fixed with anyone, who is able to use a soldering iron. It is probably the easiest fix, there. I think that opening the unit and putting it back takes most of the time. Maybe half an hour in total depending on the amount of screws and the placement of the connector.
