Hi there,
I'm thinking of a new one in the new year, not spending a great deal of cash, but these are the two I'm thinking of:

Ibanez GSR300
or
Squier Classic Vibe 60s Jazz Bass in Olympic White

I normally play an Aria Pro Tab 60 and a Fender Precision through a Trace Elliot AH300SMC with a 2 x 10 and a 1 x 15 cab.
Love the Aria, but leaning more to the Precision with my current band

To answer your questions:
1. No I don't own either of the basses listed :)
2. My advice would be to list the basses you're asking about in the thread title

I've seen and played a Classic Vibe jazz (Olympic White) - it looked fantastic and sounded fairly good. It really needed a good set-up but I've no doubt it could be an excellent bass

1. There's no such thing as a GSR300, there's a GSR200 and an SR300 though. the SR300's are meant to be good.

2. I'd go for the squier classic vibe, they've been making some top notch stuff recently.

3. go play them both

Thanks very much everyone, it was the SR, spotted a CV at £219, bargain!! Looks like that's the one. Tried it out in my local shop, but not paying £350. Again, nice one(s) all round
