skankdelvar Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Hate to be neg, but it looks a bit sanded to me. Quote
Golchen Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 Hmmmn, looks a bit unnatural to me. I'd want to see it in the flesh. I love the relic look but I HATE crappy DIY relics (I'm not saying that this IS one necessarily!) Quote

Happy Jack Posted December 15, 2008 Posted December 15, 2008 I'm loving those cigarette burns on the headstock. Quote
tauzero Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 To me it seems odd that some tatty old piece of crap with an obviously poor quality finish has "mojo" just because if has Fender on the headstock. Would the same word be used to describe a similarly wrecked Yamaha or Ibanez or Warwick? And do Fender deliberately use sh*t paint (see Rory Gallagher's Strat for another example)? Quote

This also gives the guitar a vintage look straight out the box and it will age and wear-in over time.
Quote
