The Stealth Bass

Had some bits laying around so O thought O would try something.

Seeing one of these was the inspiration so I ordered some paint.  Gathered up some really knakered mij parts i had laying around and made a start.

This was the colours i thought would suit.

So got the stealth grey top coat on.....clearcoat tomorrow then let it cure for a week.

I did it to a strat I've got quite a few years ago I cleaned the paint off the frets tho and the paint hasn't worn at all..... 😀

It will have laquer on the same as a maple board.

Yes once it is all finished the frets will be cleaned.

I had a LP copy that I sprayed the same colour scheme as this but I did a red go faster stripe up the neck hoping it would make me play quicker!! 😁

Its funny, I was looking for a red tort plate for my black P earlier and one of these was on a bass that appeared in the search results. Looks great on the bass but I can't find that picture again 🙄

Fender noir p bass was a limited run last year? Was that the one?

I’ve been banned from my local’s weekly “general bass guitar trivia” quiz as there were a lot of complaints for the other participants...cries of “fix” every Tuesday evening...

Can I pick you for my team, please?  And @Bassassin ?  Between the two of you I reckon most stuff is covered.  I know bugger all about basses (apart from how to lose money buying and selling) but make a nice cup of tea and can keep score well.
