NUTROCK Posted May 6, 2019 Posted May 6, 2019 (edited) Hello everyone, quite new to bass playing (or trying to anyway,) i have a quick question, the Fender jazz bass 50th anniversary ltd edition 1996, gold hardware ( beautiful looking bass guitar ) is it a collectors item ? (wall hanger) or a players guitar or both, all the bands ive seen and videos ive watched ive never seen one bass player using one, thanks. ps, the reason im asking is that ones came up and im really interested in it. bubinga5 Posted May 6, 2019 Posted May 6, 2019 Definitely not a wall hanger. Dont think its a collectors instrument/Fender. I know the very bass you mean and it is lovely. Quote
NUTROCK Posted May 6, 2019 Author Posted May 6, 2019 hi bubinga5, thanks for the reply, it really is nice he wants £900 for it, its tormenting me 😕 Quote
DoubleOhStephan Posted May 6, 2019 Posted May 6, 2019 Well, it's definitely a limited edition bass (one of 500 made) so I'm sure that there are those who've bought one to keep as an investment. As those will have been kept in pristine condition, any basses with signs of play won't be as (potentially) valuable in the future in comparison. So, if the one you've got your eye on has any marks etc already, I wouldn't worry at all about keeping it as a case queen. Quote
NUTROCK Posted May 6, 2019 Author Posted May 6, 2019 Hi StevieE, im going to get a good look at it in the next couple of days and take it from there, i will use it all being just in doors, i new about the 50th anniversary bass but didnt really know how nice looking they were, ill let you all know how i get on with it, thanks again. 1 Quote
