The build in opamp/active EQ is so good it can replace your expensive pre-amp completely, try it and you will be surprised by how this opamp circuit can improve your overall bass tone, even with the EQ set completely flat!

 

The fact you can set your basic tone with the EQ and then ad fuzz to it opens a tremendous amount of tonal possibilities.

 

The WOODCHIPPER bass octave fuzz is derived from the classic Maestro Brassmaster circuit.

In order to fit it all in a compact package, we sourced an expensive, military-spec audio transformer that delivers the same frequency response in a much smaller package.

Next, we added a more flexible EQ section, and a unique BOTTOM control that adds clean low-bass that adds punch and fatness to the octave fuzz.
