FinnDave Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 5k for a knackered old guitar strap? Doubt if it's even worth a fiver! Quote
yorks5stringer Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 I'd buy it but I'm a bit strapped for cash 2 Quote
p4ul Posted May 13, 2019 Author Posted May 13, 2019 I have decided to take the plunge, I need a new strap for my £99 Jazz copy, and feel that this would add some kudos, more even than spending the 5k on a 1966 Jazz with strap and case... #MakeLindseyProud 1 Quote
Richard R Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 The listing says it is a HUGE piece of musical history, and the photo of the guitar does not actually show the strap. So I think it's really 100m long and much of the cost if the hire of the truck for the included "free postage" Quote
Norm Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! 5k hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, etc. 1 Quote
p4ul Posted May 28, 2019 Author Posted May 28, 2019 Yeah... My honest offer of £5 was rejected out of hand.... Quote

OK, as I recall, the PC version of its origin is that Forces', or at least RAF airmen's, standard issue underpants used to be made of a perforated, Airtex type material, with the 'business' bits, particularly the seat, having several layers, thereby resembling the breakfast cereal of that name. The non-PC version? Use your imagination as to what might have been shredded........ 45 years on from being demobbed, and I still refer to u/pants as Shreddies, as does Mrs B.....
