ped
Check out the ‘zero mod’ ones, assuming you want it thumb side.
KiOgon
I've bought them from Guy Lewis, beautifuly hand made and very reasonable prices - UK. I think he's at customguitarboxes.com or similar. Edit: Found this; https://www.flickr.com/photos/23213730@N03/albums/72157607882315310/with/2928990090/ Edited May 16, 2019 by KiOgon

Grangur
I recently made one as a thumb rest, from ebony, for another BCer. The obvious problem with a 1 screw mount tug bar is it can swivel. So it can't be very long because, as it gets longer, leverage increases. If you want it purely for show, there's no problem at all though.

Jazzmaster62
Does anyone know what size screw is normally used to secure the thumb rest?
mcnach
I've been using heavy duty double-sided sticky tape to fix metal and plastic thumbrests to basses for a few years now. It's strong enough that it won't come off during use, but if you want to remove it you can, with some effort and patience, and leave no marks whatsoever. This is one of the metal ones
