Do bass strings have a best before date?

I found 5 packs of Ernie Ball Super Slinkies languishing at the bottom of a cupboard that I completely forgot about.

They must be 5 years old at least, but the packets are sealed.

I may get round to using them at some stage, but otherwise I will bin them if they are perishable.
