The thunder drums Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 We are a newly formed experimental instrumental band (guitarist and drummer) looking for a bass player. Someone who can play in a creative way and wants to help us in building the right sound. Although, our sound has "some jazzy /funky influence", the band we are trying to create has no set genre. Musically, I am a jazz drummer whilst the guitarist (highly harmonic and rhythmic) is more from a fusion kind of background. Two completely different styles. However, the sound that is coming out is very unusual and interesting. We now need a third member. We are in our late thirties and we make our own material (no cover songs). We are looking for a serious and committed individual who puts groove and taste before technique. Someone who can play both the swing and more "in the pocket" styles, someone who can be a "virtuoso" when needed, but also the opposite when the music requires it. Our aim is to start gigging soon and to make a record to distribute around. We are currently auditioning for a bass player. We are based between East London and Essex. If you are interested call me.
