I still have a semi, but it's a bit closer to the climax now.

*looking at the ropes hanging from the bass*

THAT's a string gauge appropriate to BASS!

The Yamaha was moved on recently but still rocking the Ibanez when I need a five string.

These are my nudie snaps- both walnut and neither everyone's cup of tea!

The left is a Rickenbacker 4003w, and on the right the Swift Triple, expertly made with three SIMS Super Quads by @Andyjr1515.

Well, as I've been reminded of this thread, here are my two - although both are still presently with Matt Marriott (he 'borrowed' them to do some videos...a worryingly long time ago ;)  ).

My bubinga-bodied through-neck fretless, based on the same proportions as the stupendous Warwick Thumb:

And the Camphor topped neck through single cut:

Fair to say solid colour basses don’t really do it for me anymore…

Since my contribution to this thread I've acquired some cheap wood.

First an 80s Kay neck through which was given to me in a right state. I stained the wings and lacquered it, (it does have strings now 😉).

Next a 90s Encore precision copy found in a charity shop.

After a thorough clean and polish, some extensive neck/fret work and a Tonestyler pickup it really is a great bass with some lovely grain in the body and fretboard.
