Sumilidon
Hi all, I just bought a secondhand and fairly beaten Peavey Millenium 5 string with some very bad strings! My fender Jaguar has roundwound but for this Peavey I want to use Flatwounds for no reason other than I want some strings that'll last a long time. This will be the last thing after the repairs to electrics, fretwork, redo the wiring etc. Problem is, I can't seem to find any affordable sets. Fender seemed to have some but these seem to have been discontinued. Does anyone have any suggestions / links to some decent sets please? I tried google etc but they almost always seem to be 4 string versions or simply cost too much £60 kinda thing. I'm new to Bass so any suggestions appreciated. hooky_lowdown
GHS do some 5 string flatwounds at a reasonable price, and they are pretty decent as well.
Sumilidon
Any idea what length I should be looking at for those? They seem to have a few options. The bass I have is a 34" scale.
jrixn1
I have Dunlop flats and really like them. They are £34.99 at http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Flat_wound_strings.html
