Just seen this...

These aren't great basses but as an introduction to 6 string bass you can do far worse for far more money... 

£125.99 for a 6 string active through neck bass with decent hard case and next day delivery. 

Worth a punt for anyone debating 6 string basses...

I guess it depends how easy it is to remove the battery, if you have to unscrew  a plate every time then it will a bit of a PITA?

It will be a simple fault with the switch blade that's activated by putting the Jack in.  Probably fixable with a pair of pliers .. failing that a new jack .. or an on off switch.  Bargain.

It's a clip cover so no unscrewing.

Bet they've just soldered the lead to the wrong tag on the jack.

Curiusly tempting but I'll let common sense win, I don't need no djent...

That's crazy cheap for that, some nice touches like the wooden contol cover & trc. It's an ugly bugger, mind, and I'm usually a sucker for a neckthrough.

Very tempted but no - don't want a 6er, I already have a 5-string which is functionally a 4 with a very long thumbrest.

It is indeed an ugly beast... the one thing that doesn't cost much is choosing a shape, and as the Knight Templar in Indiana Jones once said "You chose poorly".

Buy it 'cos it's cheap and a couple of weeks later look at it and think "why did I buy that?".

They're now awful basses, certainly not fantastic, but definitely playable. Plus I doubt you'd loose much money if you eBay'd it down the line. Someone will take it for £120ish with a case all day long.
