Mac desktop problem

My Mac desktop is working rather strangely on safari. It won’t properly load things like Facebook and basschat. They either load as normal or the blue line at the top of the screen only comes along so far then stops and nothing else happens. I am running Mohave. Everything loads fine on my iPhone and iPad. Any thoughts anyone?

Have you tried clearing your caches. You can get it from the Develop menu on the current safari (which you can switch on in preferences->Advanced).

When was the last time you updated Safari or your OS? You may be running an older version of Safari, so things might be not running properly.

Could be you just need to restart your mac.

Sounds like a connectivity problem. Do other internet service, e.g email, work?

Do you have another browser to try, such as Google Chrome?

We use Macs at work. Safari is the least co-operative browser there is on the machines.
