Houndogg Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 Hello , just tried out my new Xvive U2 transmitter/receiver in practice - excellent and I moved across the room to get the sound of the full band and find my happy place 😁The kit is small and the jacks have a hinge to the unit so you can keep them folded out of the way. Downside is that the instructions are hopeless and tiny font - and I had reset the transmitter to a different channel by mistake ( there are four in case the guitarist etc happen to have one and you would be on the same channel ) - but top marks to Wildwire Guitars who replied to my email at 6.30pm - 45 minutes after I sent it. bazzbass Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 (edited) glad to hear. But it's not at rehearsal that they may play up. It's at a gig, with wifi for the patrons, big fridges cycling on and off, 100 punters' (hopefully) iphones , PA router etc . You won't know til you're out there, always have a cable at the ready , just in case. Even the best ones can run into interference. Edited June 30, 2019 by bazzbass 1 Quote
Lozz196 Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 Yeah that’s a good point, I always have a spare instrument lead on top of the amp in case of any signal failure/interference on my wireless kit. Quote
Houndogg Posted July 13, 2019 Author Posted July 13, 2019 Hi , gigged the Xvive twice last weekend , second gig had wifi in and all went well. Scares the band when I start moving around 😜🤣 Quote
Houndogg Posted July 15, 2019 Author Posted July 15, 2019 ...... but at the gig yesterday the sound engineer was knocked off the wifi from laptop to pa due to the Xvive and had to reboot her system - 😳 So I had to use a gtr lead 😉 Quote
therasonic450 Posted July 21, 2019 Posted July 21, 2019 Like my Xvive but for the fact it doesn't like active pickups, so can't use it with my Stingray as get dreadful high-pitched whine through the cab!☹️ Quote

It is quite happy with my Smoothound. Quote
