Read some reviewers complaining about sleep mode kicking in between songs and the unit taking too long yo wake up. 

Can you tell me how long does it wait before going to sleep mode?

I only experienced that once, and it was after I left it plugged the bass sitting on a stand for several minutes. All I did was remove it from the jack (there's a micro switch on it, so no thump) and it came straight on.
