john_the_bass Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 (edited) I've just received this picture message from the guitarist in my band of the project he's been working on I believe it used to be some sort of cheap jazz bass copy - it's certainly got a smaller body than any jazz bass that i'd ever seen. He showed me the body a few weeks ago when it turned up and it was all routed for Jazz pickup and bridge configuration. What do youse think? Edited July 25, 2007 by john_the_bass Quote
Alpha-Dave Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 (edited) What's your point? looks to me like he's just fixing up a Jaguar. Do you mean that the neck, bridge and pick-guard assembly are from a Jaguar and only the body is from an old bass? Excellent bit of recycling then! Edited July 25, 2007 by Alpha-Dave Quote
john_the_bass Posted July 25, 2007 Author Posted July 25, 2007 there wasn't a point really - it was more a what do you think of this?
What do youse think?
i think it looks quite tidy. I understand John Squire had something very similar which was his inspiration. The body is an old J style bass and it looks like he's done a good job. I thought it was a jaguar, but they don't have the same bottom horn Quote
