The bass is equipped with a J-Retro Deluxe preamp, but the original circuit on its chrome plate comes with the bass too. This bass has been my go-to bass the last year, and the only reason I sell this one, this beauty, is that my new bass has 37" - 34" scale. The Super J5 has 35" - 32" scale. I have big hands and long reach, so the longer scale suits me better. My other two Super J and P will also be replaced by my new bass, hence the sale. (I keep my super long Dingwall, though...)
