Question

Posted

I regularly see (in my notifications window), that somebody called "Guest" has posted, but I don't see those posts when I follow the links...

Is there a setting to allow viewing of Guest posts (if by "Guest" it means forum visitors who are not logged in?).

... or is there a real member called "Guest" who presumably has me on ignore!...

In checking this out, I found I accidentally had @AndyTravis on ignore! Sorry Andy, don't know how that happened!!

If the user receives the notification then they should be able to see the message which prompted the notification to be created. So, the choice would be notification + see Guest message; or no notification + unable to see Guest message.

At the moment it looks like a guest can post, notifications are sent but the message isn’t visible unless the user registers afterwards. I think. Hopefully the update will fix but In the meantime nothing to be done.
