jceg316
Hi everyone. I first picked up a bass 16 years ago and since then I played an awful lot, been in many bands, did a degree in music, but past few years I have barely touched the thing and now I'm trying to get back into it. Whilst I'm not terrible, I'm definitely not at the standard I was and was wondering in anyone knew of any good online resources for "revision"? Things like scales over 2 octaves up & down in different positions, modes etc. Ear training would be good too. I used to be able to improvise to any song in the style of, but now I'm struggling to play :(. Thanks in advance!
philparker
There are so many good on-line sources, especially lessons on YT that can help anyone at any level. Some of the more popular channels are Scott’s Bass Lessons (Scott Devine), Scott Whitley, Talkin’ Bass etc., but i would take a look at Joe Hubbards channel for what you are after, having previously been a good, knowledgeable bassist (musician)? Reggaebass
Welcome jceg316, I’d also recommend, mark on talkingbass ,his theory and exercises are good , and he doesn’t waffle on like some of the others , and another one I like is Tony grey bass academy , I’m working on some of his patterns at the moment 🙂
funkle
Joe Hubbard and Scott’s Bass Lessons. Between those two you should cover a lot. Extra credit for Rick Beato and Adam Neely for general musical interest.
