John Cribbin
I've picked up a Ibanez TMB30 bass and am looking for a gig bag. The official Ibanez bag is an eye watering £88, but a Fender FBSS-610 can be picked up from £27. I'm gussing that the Ibanez at 41" or 104cm and with it's 2+2 headstock will be shorter than the Squier Mustang SS and fit the bag. However If anyone can measure the length of a Mustang or has the Fender bag before I order It would be most appreciated. Unfortunately Fender doesn't give the size online. King Tut
If it's any use, I have a TMB30 and it easily fits in the Fender Urban Short Scale Gig Bag.
John Cribbin
Marvelous, I'd guess any Fender SS bag will be pretty much the same size. Cheers.
James Nada
My Squire Bronco is 109cm long including the strap button. Presumably this would be very similar to a Mustang.
Paul S
I have one of these rifle bags and it fits my Squier Mustang 'exactly' It is also nicely padded with some hard protection on the sides, plus pockets for ammo should the punters get out of hand.
grandad
42.5 inches or 107.5 cm including the 1cm for the strap button. The Fender FBSS-610 is OK, cheap enough, but the bottom strap button will wear a hole in it after about 12 months use. To avoid this just tape a piece of hard plastic to the bottom inside. My Mustang hard case I purchased a couple of years ago from Scott Whitley when he used to sell them but I don't think he does now. http://www.shortscalebass.co.uk/ There have been a few folks enquiring after them of late. crunchman
I've managed to fit my TMB 30 into a guitar gig bag - bit tight but it does go in. Not sure that it will go in all guitar gig bags but it will go in some.
