Chris2112 Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 I was always under the impression that they were graphite over a wooden frame (but not solid wood inside) to give structure for the cloth to be laid up on. Certainly, I recall reading that back when I was the owner of a Stealth I 6 string. Not that it makes an difference as once the cloth is heat treated and finished, it forms a monocoque that is inherently stiff even though it's effectively hollow. 1
