Squier classic 70s vibe jazz bass, advice req

I like the look of the Squier70s vibe jazz bass, and considering buying one. Thought I’d ask if any one has got one, are they any good?  For the price they seem pretty good spec.

Well I don't own a 70's Vibe but I played one in a shop one time and it was fine. People here generally seem to like Squiers and I don't particularly recall anyone slagging off this model.

Hopefully someone will be along in a bit with some more detailed information

The early ones were amazing, yet to play a new one but I think the risk of variability is greater at this end of the market - ideally play before you buy or buy from somewhere with a good returns policy if you get bad grain or other flaws?

I have the Precision and haven't tried the Jazz, but if the PB is anything to go by I wouldn't hesitate.  I bought mine as a backup to my US made but its now my main bass as its that good.
