Bafflegab
Hi ladies and gents I’m after a guitar pick counter display like you see in the music shops. My local music shop closed down six months ago and I remembered they had one on the last day, but I checked with them and it’s gone now. Anyone know where I can get one (on a budget!) Preferably empty - I want it to store and organise my own pick collection! cheers Ryan Edited July 8, 2019 by Bafflegab
BreadBin
There's this one on eBay, but not cheap... https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F264289740200

steve-bbb
keep a clear perspex cover FIXED over the top and keep it locked until they have parted with the money - you know what guitarists are like they will be losing them all over the shop before they even got their wallet out

TheGreek
Contact Strings & Things - they sent us a box of things including wipes, etc which might be exactly what you're looking for.

No lid so not quite what I’m after, but great suggestion! 22 hours ago, Frank Blank said: You, Sir, are a born librarian and that’s a compliment. Thanks! I take it as one - I pride myself on being organised and thorough (some might say anal...). I’ve got hundreds of picks, and believe it or not, I’ve never lost one! 13 hours ago, yorks5stringer said: How would you organise them. By colour or by make? Great question I organise them by material first, then size/type, then brand. I recently did this and bagged them all in those little ziplock bags, but got a bit frustrated as some obviously fit into more than one category, and those bags didn’t give me the flexibility to change them around easily haha! 12 hours ago, Geek99 said: Try this Bonus - it’s transportable without them all falling out . I’ve found something similar on eBay but 25 slots and square. Might be one to buy on payday! 10 hours ago, charic said: Have you tried contacting jim dunlop? I haven’t - good idea. I wonder if they’d be willing to send me one for not much cost... I do have a couple hundred of their picks

matski
I would go to a fishing tackle shop and see what type of boxes they have if I were you. Usually they stock compartmentalised boxes with clear lids, so you should be able to find something.
MoonBassAlpha
A medication box with am and pm sections would do 14 different ones, the lids snap closed, and have handy suggestions as to which plectrum to use on any given day! 1

lurksalot
Pick collection! i guess this is a display thing rather than a ‘where the hell has my vast collection of Dunlop 0.5mm picks gone ‘ business card wallets would organise them simply using a lot less space https://www.amazon.co.uk/Collins-Business-Card-Wallet-Black/dp/B002WC7UDY

Plus they wouldn't be super accessible
Bafflegab
I've got my beady eye on one of these, found it on ebay, £8. Too skint until payday but I think I'll get one then
