Bafflegab Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 (edited) Hi ladies and gents I’m after a guitar pick counter display like you see in the music shops. My local music shop closed down six months ago and I remembered they had one on the last day, but I checked with them and it’s gone now. Anyone know where I can get one (on a budget!) Preferably empty - I want it to store and organise my own pick collection! cheers Ryan Edited July 8, 2019 by Bafflegab Quote
BreadBin Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 There's this one on eBay, but not cheap... https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F264289740200 1 Quote

Geek99 Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 (edited) Try this Bonus - it’s transportable without them all falling out . steve-bbb Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 keep a clear perspex cover FIXED over the top and keep it locked until they have parted with the money - you know what guitarists are like they will be losing them all over the shop before they even got their wallet out 1 Quote
TheGreek Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 Contact Strings & Things - they sent us a box of things including wipes, etc which might be exactly what you're looking for. 1 Quote
AndyTravis Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 John Hornby Skewes in Leeds was where I used to order them from for the shop. Quote

I take it as one - I pride myself on being organised and thorough (some might say anal...). I’ve got hundreds of picks, and believe it or not, I’ve never lost one! I recently did this and bagged them all in those little ziplock bags, but got a bit frustrated as some obviously fit into more than one category, and those bags didn’t give me the flexibility to change them around easily haha! matski Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 I would go to a fishing tackle shop and see what type of boxes they have if I were you. Usually they stock compartmentalised boxes with clear lids, so you should be able to find something. 1 Quote
MoonBassAlpha Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 A medication box with am and pm sections would do 14 different ones, the lids snap closed, and have handy suggestions as to which plectrum to use on any given day! 1 3 Quote

lurksalot Posted July 12, 2019 Posted July 12, 2019 Pick collection! i guess this is a display thing rather than a ‘where the hell has my vast collection of Dunlop 0.5mm picks gone ‘ business card wallets would organise them simply using a lot less space https://www.amazon.co.uk/Collins-Business-Card-Wallet-Black/dp/B002WC7UDY Quote

Plus they wouldn't be super accessible Quote
Bafflegab Posted July 12, 2019 Author Posted July 12, 2019 I've got my beady eye on one of these, found it on ebay, £8. Too skint until payday but I think I'll get one then Quote
