Amp setting - 2 or 4 ohms?

Three x 300 watt 8 ohm cabs chained from the one output - head can run at 2 or 4 ohms. Which setting should I use for this 2.67 ohms load

please or doesnt it matter?

Which amp?

D class and SS just use 2 ohm.

Valve might be different and need an exact match.

The first answer is correct it’s a number of nominally 8 ohm abs are closer to 6 ohm, the 2 ohm setting might be better.

SS or valve? SS amps have minimum impedance loads, valve have maximum impedance loads. In this case run SS at 2 ohms, valve at 4 ohms.
