Oh my God. All these things terrify me.

One of my hi-fi speaker cones has cat damage (as if the cat thought that the speaker had disrespected the cat in some way), but it still sounds fine. 👍

As said, it is just the dust cover. If it was not there, you would see the magnet and a part of the coil.

Take a vacuum cleaner and open the tube from the side (you know that sliding thing that you should use while vacuuming curtains).

Put your hand to the cone and the tube to the dust cover. The cover takes its own shape. Done.

If not, close the slider a bit. Repeat ad lib.

Yes suction, though I've done it in the past by just sucking through a tube. It gives you a bit more control but a vacuum cleaner which was adjustable would work.

I would leave it. It makes no difference being like that and there is always a chance of damage doing anything to correct it, so unless you want to show it off and it is really bugging you, leave it be!

If you use the hoover, once the cone has resumed its shape, don't pull the tube from it without switching off the hoover first. That's the most likely way to damage it.

I, like the sellotape method mentioned above, use a small bit of tape, gently push it on to the centre of the dent then gently pull the tape to hopefully pul that dent out. It's worked every time for me anyway!

No worries! Hope it works out alright! Be gentle though. :)

The worst case solution, proved many times in the 70s and 80s - pinhole, tehn a pin bent 90 degrees to pull it out. Then a drop of nail varnish to seal the hole.
