Hi guys just a quick tip I found. If you’re filing down the string saddle on your bass, a really good method is to use this ‘abrasive cord’ - pick the correct gauge and pass it through the string groove until you reach the desired height. Works really well and leaves a smooth surface. I recently used some on my G&L and it worked a treat.

Yeah probably - it's available in lots of different sizes.
